We got to really know Mykonos- the windy island (and also the party island). We took a lovely tour and shopped … a lot! We got to see the amazing windmills and our tour guide became our personal photographer.
One of the best tours I enjoyed was Delos island. This is the sacred uninhabited UNESCO site only accessible by ferry. It is the birthplace of Apollo. We learned so much from the tour about mythology and history and archeology. Truly astonishing the “technology” they had in 900 BC and alot of it is still standing.
After Mykonos we flew Aegean Air back to Athens. The kids played at the resorts inflatable obstacle course. I think everyone was ready to come home after 14 days!
