New York City Mother Daughter Trip!

We took a quick trip to New York City over Rebecca’s 12th birthday weekend, Valentine’s Day weekend and Presidents’ Day weekend. The word of the trip was “experiences”. And Lucky for us it was the warmest weekend of the year.
Longtime friends Shea and Natalie Davis joined us as we tore through the town. We stayed at one of my favorite sports, the Lotte Palace New York, perfect location next to Rock center. Friday morning we visited the Summit at 1 Vanderbilt place with incredible views and interactive experiences. We had brunch at Tiffany and Co- complete with Tiffany blue mocktails. We shopped and shopped! We had tea and the famous Plaza Hotel, then met our personal shopper at FAO Schwartz beating the lines, skipping the wait and selecting pre approved items. Rebecca’s most favorite thing was visiting the Jelley Cat restaurant where she ordered up a pancake. I think we walked away with 6 Jelley Cats! We saw Wicked on Broadway at the Gershwin Theater. The talent is just so good. The Olympics were going on and we were in the American spirit with Rebecca wear her flag and RL US bear sweaters! Saturday we headed down to SoHo and shopped - having to wait in line at the Instagram famous boutiques. Rebecca’s other highlight was seeing Whitney Levitt from Dancing with the Stars staring as Roxie in Chicago! And we waited outside at the stage door to get her autograph and she took a photo with her and Mark Ballas from DWTS!!! We walked a lot- all the way down to the World Trade Center monument. Next we went To Tavern on the Green, the Met and met Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank! We had the most fun and it truly was a weekend we won’t forget!!! Happy birthday!! Don’t know how her 13th birthday will top this?
