Baptism

Rebecca was baptized at St. Thomas at 7 weeks! I think I was nervous she was going to grow out of the baptismal gown. The grandparents were all there and Kiko was standing in for Godmother Aunt Juliet. The weather was cold and rainy (just like the day V was baptized at Georgetown in DC) but she was a gem and so beautiful.

We Have Roll Over

Rebecca rolled over at 11 weeks. Yep, the strong girl just decided to try it out and see what happens and she did it three times in a row. She rolled from front to back on her left side. The little adventurer is on the move much earlier compared to her big brother and sister; I'm not used to such mobility at this age. She really doesn't mind being on her tummy. She is so strong holding her head up high while on the ground and being held. It's a good thing she is so strong, healthy and tough; her brother loves her so much but often he forgets to be gentle and his love pats turn into love hits.

Party of Five

Our family has been busy… Very busy…our cup runneth over…but sometimes it's hard to sit back and look around to see what is actually happening. We are in the thick if life and it is spinning really fast. Every day, hour and minute is used to the maximum. The past 12 weeks have been amazing: seeing R grow right before my eyes and V and O mature and take on their role as the big sibling. It's been exhausting: starting the day at 5:30 after feeding R at night, and making lunches at 10pm and going to sleep when you just collapse into bed. I might just start sleeping in my clothes for the next day :) ha!  It's been beautiful: seeing V and O love their sister.  John Zavala is an amazing dad and has really been so helpful while we all adjust to our new family.

Happy Baby! She is the most smiley baby. When you talk to her she talks right back and it just melts your heart.

Friends! Claire and Rebecca born one day apart. And brothers O'Neill and Ben and Jack are best friends too

I love this photo because in the background Dad is playing with V and O.

Sweet dreams

Our first family outing was at the bowling alley. Good clean family fun. JZ won, O second place, V third place and Mama was in last place. I think together we all broke one hundred.

O and his boys at the arboretum - they had their face painted as a tiger, a dog, pirate, and a mustache man, and O was a knight. How appropriate.

Victoria showing Rebecca the mirror and toys - doing her sisterly duty...

This was O's first time to paint pottery. V LOVES going and has quite a collection of pottery; this time she painted a cat and a heart box. However, I was nervous taking the bull into the china shop - but O did great. He painted a skate board and a snake. And next time he said he wants to paint a skull. He is such a BOY. And thank goodness he is such a boy since he is in the middle of two girls. (This was part of our spring break activities. We survived the whole week with no school and a four week old)
