What a special year. V and O settled into their new schools last year and they are back and ready for more.
This girl has grown so much since this time last year. And she is the ruler of the lower school in 4th grade. She looks so old wearing just the skirt and not the jumper! Luckily she is still the sweetest girl in the world!! Oh I can't wait to see what she will do this year! She's totally in control of her school and this is where she has a lot of confidence. If we can keep her organized she will be good to go.
O'Neill was so excited about the start of school that he could not go to sleep the night before. He was all smiles as he bounced into the school. First day they hit the ground running with homework and assignments. I also forgot how tiring school is for the boys. He has asked to go to bed twice at the dinner table.
Truman and O are table buddies again this year
Good to see old friends and love how Rebecca made it into the pic
The school does a great job uploading photos and videos and this picture came across of the 2nd graders working on an art project. O'Neill is clearly "managing"
These boys LOVE cheering on the Lions at the football game and running around at the pep rally.
It's not possible to do all we do without carpooling...
...Especially when the Black Beauty gets a flat tire!! Thank goodness for Sewell.
Yummylicious after school snack. They deserve it!
Ah! While the big kids were in school, Rebecca and I got to have a little more time together to play... Even if it was just until she started school. We ran errands and then headed to the Dallas Farmer's Market - fun way to explore.
And then it was her turn to go!
Rebecca is in the Varsity class. They get to learn about a country every week that corresponds with the letter they are learning. They do an art project, cook and travel the world. This is why I chose to send the kids to Skillman years ago, but V and O never had the chance to attend this class. It's a little bittersweet because she goes to school everyday. She wants to go to school like her siblings and she even does "homework". We scooter to school and walk the dog. I'm going to miss this when we move. She told the teacher she wanted to be a "Pink Flower Seller" when she grows up.
Back to school means back to AFTER school activities.
After taking a break from riding lessons over the Spring and Summer (excluding a couple times in Ireland and NY and at camp) Victoria was ready to get back on the horse. She had actually grown so much since her last ride she could not fit into her riding boots.
YUP - it's SMU Mustang football season and we kicked it off versus TCU. It was raining but we still supported our team.
Peruna
Rebecca is on her first soccer team. It's a team made up mostly of SJE girls she will be in class with next year in kindergarten. At her first practice this girl wasn't crying one bit, she was pumped! She was excited to run and her size helped her scored the most goals.
Baron made it to carpool
Rebecca recruited her 4 best friends to attend her dance class and this girl can't wait to go every week.
Victoria also wanted to try dance again!!!
The weather in Texas during September is just about as hot as the sun - especially with all your gear. Poor guy was wiped out.
Ahhhh. A popsicle to cool off...
Fall Baseball is back again! This kids likes sports with sticks: LAX, Baseball, Golf....
V is part of the Serving Stars volleyball team. They have been practicing since the summer and they've come a long way! It was great to have C and P come watch.
O'Neill's first concert!! He went with his buddy Ben to the Kids Bop concert!
Rebecca scored the first goal in the first game of the season for her team! She did great for her first game.
O'Neill and Hunt got their original Jerseys back after they switched them a few month ago... He's lucky number 5
Broomball... enough said
So proud of these three for supporting each other at their games
