Camp Champions 2021 was the BEST yet! Victoria went to 3 weeks and O for 2 weeks. It was a little weird dropping off Victoria on July 4th but we made the best of it by staying closer at Rough Creek Ranch and they camp really did a great job celebrating America's birthday as well. Due to Covid parents had to drop off and pick up the campers like carpool - and that's ok bc they did not have an outbreak. Victoria said this term was the best one so far. Her camp friends were all back if they did not attend last year due to Covid. She is already excited to return next year. O'Neill was just excited to attend because he knew there was no mandatory reading or math practice. However, he came away with loving camp even more and wants to return next year. O'Neill received his third year Silver Spur award and found a friend he calls his "girlfriend". They went to one dance together and made friendship bracelets for each other.
SOOO happy they were both able to go and not have Covid inhibit their camp experience. However - both campers had the "camp blues" because coming home after having such a fun and amazing time led them to feel sad when they have to go back to the normal way of life. Next year it's Rebecca's turn and everyone is excited about going!
