She survived her first dance competition. They did great getting first and most entertaining. 

 

Texas Snowmageddon 2021

The snow fell hard on Valentine's Day. We arrived on Tuesday to find more snow had fallen. Luckily we still had power and water and no burst pipes. The kids had fun playing in the snow and not going to school for a week. 

 

Winter Break Breckenridge Ski Trip

Well, we took advantage of the winter break to ski in Breckenridge. It was definitely a ski trip - after two year of not skiing the kids had lost a little technique but they gained it back within the trip! Three days of ski and they were doing great. I skied with my new knee brace since the ACL and the knee worked great. It was less of a ski vacation with all the Covid protocols - we packed our lunches every day and after we skied we headed home for dinner and family time. The Covid restrictions really put a damper on my Apres Ski situation inside a lodge with hot cocoa but we made it our own. We also celebrated Valentines Day and Rebecca's birthday. While we were away there was the Texas Snowmageddon - the most snow since we can remember. Our flight was canceled so we drove back.  Luckily our house still had power and water and the kids played in the winter wonderland.
