Going Away Party

My my my, how time flies! Victoria's playgroup threw us a sweet going away party!! I can't believe we have been in Greenville for a year and now we are leaving! We are so lucky to have made some great friends. They are literally Victoria's first friends. From left to right Top: Kristi and Kaitlin Poth, Sara and Emery Glenn, Cherie and Tyler Clark, Me and Victoria, Jasmin and Ana Poor, Bottom: Seri and Landon Batkin, Julie and Logan Ciomperlik, Courtney and Ana Ballinger. Not Pictured Kristin and Lily Bogle. We are going to miss them SO much!

Southern Hospitality: A fabulous kid-friendly lunch, yummy cake, decorations and goody bags for the babies!

Pool Time! Victoria loves the pool and has no fear - she practices her technique (ie putting her face in the water) every night at bath time. Her new thing is floating on a little innertube - no baby float necessary.

Sarah and Emery - They were the first mom and daughter friend we made in Greenville.

How crazy is it that out of my small group of friends in Greenville three of them have connections to Texas. Perhaps we will see them in Texas one day? Here is Miss Poth - she is on track to be the next Miss Texas :)

July Fourth

We spent July 4th weekend in Greenville savoring the sites and sounds of the city before we leave. Below Victoria is dancing to the music at the amphitheater.

Mama and Baby at dinner. Victoria is so funny and has the best personality - we are lucky!

This is same Radio Flyer Aunt Shannon gave to baby Zavala in the Fall of 08 when I drove to NYC from DC to pick up any baby items not needed by the Henderson Baby Farm. Almost two years later Victoria loves it!

Pool time! We had to purchase a SPF long sleeve swimsuit because Victoria had developed a tan after just a few weeks out in the pool - it must be her Latin heritage. She was the star swimmer at her swimming lessons and she still shows no fear in the water - under water, jumping into water, swimming on her front and back, blowing bubbles, putting her face in the water. She is not a big fan of the baby pool - rather she likes the big pool much better!

Her favorite warm up before she swims is moving deck chairs. They are light enough that she can move them without too much trouble and with her swim shoes she does not fear the hot concrete.

Mama and Victoria had girl bonding Saturday morning so we took the Trolley around Gville, visited downtown and met a friend for lunch - while JZ was playing golf.
