Pura Vida!!!!
Zavala and Henderson forced family fun in Costa Rica. We traveled to Central America in the Pacific Coast for some beach and rainforest fun. We ATV’d, zip lined, monkey toured in a boat, boys went fishing twice, at-home massages on the patio, big girls went on a three hour boat tour and got stung by jelly fish, Beckers and SK went to Isla Tortuga snorkeling, beaching, hiking, we played lots of salad bowl, mahj jong, rummicube, started and finished a book, found out that Todd is a pool shark. We saw macaws, cranes, white faced monkeys, a sloth up close, alligators, toucan, parrots, skinny cows, crabs, and held a snake.
All and all it was a blend of adventure and relaxation. Glad we went but on to other adventures!

First time surfing for the Zavalas and the yoga has been paying off! Meanwhile Camille was doing switch tricks! We kept the rain at bay and enjoyed the yellow flag for some great waves.

Golf cart antics
The first full day we were scheduled for an ATV tour but it was pouring down rain- we persevered but it was cold and we were wet and covered in mud. Shannon saved the day and managed to get us ponchos- William and O’Neill were too cool for ponchos - and thus freezing. We saw lots of fascinating things on the tour like dumpsters, the highway, skinny cows and mud. We did make it to a waterfall but we were so cold with low blood sugar we didn’t even get a chance to enjoy it.
The rainy ATV tour made for a great story but only told by the participants when warm and dry!
First night with Chef Pablo and the costume night- something to do with animals, jungle, rainforest, and hunters…?
The famous family pic
More massages bc why not!
The abbreviated chocolates tour that was more of a show and tell… but surely someone learned something …?
