Sweet Rebecca is an amazing patient. She had her tonsils and adenoids removed by our friend Dr Kenny and Dr Calvin. She was so brave and quite honestly very excited to be having surgery especially with a week of ice cream on the horizon. She went back into the OR happy as a clam and was put to sleep without tears. The surgery took 30 minutes to take out the large tonsils that touched her uvula. Coming out of anesthesia was rough as it is for all kids. With a little ice cream and a nap she was scootering that afternoon! The recovery is about a week long but so far so good. After a few days of ice cream, jello, pudding, soup, popsicles she was over the sweets; she wanted avocado, yogurt, eggs, bread and butter.
