Our BIG summer

These kids were having a blast this summer: Tennis, Golf and Swim Camp, Stuffed Animal Camp, Science Camp, Art Camp, Vacation Bible School, Little Gym Camp. Trips about town to Zoo, Arboretum, Perot Science Museum, JumpStreet, KidMania, Painting with Cecie, Splash parks, Circus, Fire Station and Police Station visits, and LOTS of POOL TIME!

Victoria has lost 6 teeth total - 4 in the past 4 months! When she talks she sounds so different!

Lazy summer mornings are the best. The kids loved staying in their PJs and playing.

Bubbles, chalk, scooters, water table, playing with the hose, water balloons, and popsicles on the rare days it's cool enough to play outside.

Just chillin'

Took the kids to the Arboretum and of course they found the only "screens" for 5 miles.

This is what they look like after a morning of errands and grocery shopping.

Sweet baby giving her Lambey some medicine after O wasn't feeling well. She is a sponge and does EVERYTHING the older two do.

Lakewood Celebrates Heroes for the 4th of July Parade. The Zavalas teamed up with another second generation Lakewood Family (Theriot/McMahon) to create a float to ride in the parade. Victoria was Ms Captain America and O was a Marine. It was SO hot and poor O'Neill was wearing navy blue and black long sleeves and pants. They had a blast riding in the parade. JZ rode with the 7 kids in the trailer as a Texas Ranger while the other parents and baby were riding in the car with the AC. JZ is a trooper!

Party in the park - face painting and petting zoo!

We got out the hammer to open the coconut. They had a blast busting it up. But they didn't think the coconut didn't taste very good - it just wasn't sweet enough.

While the big kids were at camps, baby and mama had special time! Love those one-on-one moments.

Yogurt pretzels - enough said.

Fun in the sun wipes this baby out!

First friends!!

Party at the Fire Station!

Love this picture!

Victoria did it!! She joined the Lakewood Swim Team, went to as many practices as we could make and participated in one swim meet swimming the 25 meter freestyle and free replay.

Victoria's swim team posse - they were such troopers to be carted to LCC by 8am!

Sports camp! O'Neill can't wait to go next year!

Papa and Cecie brought over a tortoise they found in their yard. It was fun until Boris escaped two weeks later.

Painting with Cecie! Our little artists did a great job and had fun - no meltdowns or frustrations - they loved it.

He never passes up the opportunity to go golfing with Daddy.

My little bakers…or rather whip cream eaters.

Splash park time!

Feeding blueberries to the baby toucans.

Our lizards in their terrarium - nothing quite like feeding them live crickets and keeping meal worms in the fridge.

Community service day cleaning up the park. When they weren't collecting trash they were collecting feathers and rocks.

We saw 4 peacocks just walking out and about on the road. We also saw a "real live cowboy" walking his horses back to the barn. And to think we live in the city!

Sisters

Pool parties! Loved having families over to swim.

When I see this hair I burst out signing - "Well I keep on thinking bout you sister golden hair surprise, and I just can't live without you, can't you see it in my eyes?…"

Visit to the police station - and the officers ended up giving them stuffed animals!! (I can't escape stuffed animals)

Trip to the Circus!! I literally think I enjoyed it the most.

It's been a fun summer. My three angels and I have had lots of time together. I think everyone is ready to go back to school. The baby most of all - she wants her special time back with her mama!
