Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA. Carmel is absolutely beautiful and my happy place. Good thing my dear friend Melinda got married there because bridesmaid duties took the whole family including Sloane our family babysitter to this paradise. Such a joy to spend time with my family, my parents and my friends and of course Carmel.
Baby Rebecca had her first flight at 4 months in first class, while V and O were in coach with Sloane.
We had too much luggage - three full SmartCarts
The Beach!
Having fun with some kelp.
When ask which beach they liked best FL or CA; they answered California only because they visited the toy shop and candy shop everyday!
Pebble Beach, dropping Dad off to play
The Carmel Mission. Everywhere Victoria saw a picture of a woman or man in the mission she said "that's Mary" or "that's Jesus"…thanks St. Thomas
S'mores in the backyard. The house was located within walking distance to town albeit on a very steep hill but we could see the ocean between the trees
Rebecca was a trooper. She went everywhere with us. Sweet Angel
Farmers market in the town square
Best fruit from right down the road! Seriously we passed strawberry, peach, cherry and artichoke farms from the airport. yummy
Beach bonfire
Wedding Day! V and O attended their first wedding.
Sunset on Monterey Peninsula
Monterey Aquarium
The Lone Cypress!!
Big Sur National Park
Drove to Big Sur to see some California nature - redwoods, wildlife and we had a little picnic. Even the drive to Big Sur was amazing, simply beautiful views out your window
Mission Ranch (can you see the sheep in the background?)
Los Lobos! Just 20 minutes outside of Carmel Los Lobos has amazing topography. JZ purchased a cool painting of the point at Los Lobos and we had to visit - good thing we did. The painting is of the point above
