Summer 2011

Oh the places we've been and the things we've been doing! It's been a busy summer, well, maybe not that busy but it seems busy with a new baby brother. John Henry is growing so fast; he's rolled over boths ways, sits tripod, and is already eating cereal at 5 months! He LOVES his sister and laughs at her every move. He is the most tickle-ish baby - every spot is a tickle spot. Over the past few months Victoria has become so mature (for a 2 year old) - she wants to do everything by herself.

JH turned over twice in his swaddle and busted out a few times so he's graduated to the sleep sack.

He loves Victoria and all her crazy antics.

Victoria picked out her clothes for the day and it included some serious accessories.

Victoria puts Jack's plastic rings on her feet and pretends they are high heels. Hilarious - she even put one on Jack's foot.

Victoria wore a cowgirl outfit to school for Western day. We decorated her cowgirl hat with lots of "sparkles" and a "crown for a queen".

Victoria wanted to paint her toes just like Kate and Charlotte. She was so excited to get Princess Toes!

First day of school at Skillman Child Development Center - she was so excited for school but all the comotion frightened her that she had a few tears.

In the jumperoo having a blast!

Jack having cereal for the first time and sister cleaning his face.

He just took that spoon right out of my hand

Victoria's first haircut! Lolipops make everything better. She did great, but mom was so sad to see her sunkissed locks fall to the floor.

Making a bird house - she kept wanting to eat the peanut butter.

Making a flower headband - with the cars.

4 months old

Victoria is so good at playing with her brother - giving him toys, kisses, and tickles.

Jack had severe dry and red skin - here he is at 2.5 months before we got him all fixed up.

His first playdate with his friend Charlotte - both 3 months.

Tummy time is still a struggle

3 months - grabbing...

...pulling...

...good head control...

...swatting...

2 months with his redness and dry skin but still the happiest baby!

Victoria playing with her baby dolls - a rare moment - but it happens more and more (playing with cars less and less)

We traveled to Austin for my goddaughter's baptism - Allison Davis - in July. Allison and Jack are just 2 months apart. Here with Allison and her godfather

Victoria and Kate having a dance party with Tia!

Being the picture taker I seldom get candid photos of me and the babies.

Blue eyes

Whenever Jack sees Cecie he just laughs - here he is smiling.

Jack at 3.5 months!

Nothing better than eating an ice cream sandwich on the front porch while it melts and drips down your arm!

Jack looking at the camera monitor wide awake!

Holding the bottle by himself at 4 months!

Victoria checking out a police car

We ascended on the Henderson's summer compound for a family reunion. It was so wonderful to get the cousins together. Victoria still talks about her cousins.

With Dallas breaking the record of days of 100 degree temps - we've been inside mostly, but Victoria had a blast with her friends and the splash park!

JHs baby soft skin! no more dry skin or redness

Bathing together!

4 month old Jack sitting in the Bumbo chair.

Victoria painting her fingernails - err, well, her whole finger.
