Fall

The Fall in Texas is the best time to live here - it has been gorgeous weather and everyone has been playing outside. Tennis, Golf, and Sand Volleyball. O'Neill's tennis team improved so much and they smacked the last three tournaments by winning their matches with amazing victories.
Fall in Dallas isn't the same without the State Fair so we did the drive thru fair day and that was pretty good - it was so much better that Papa and Cecie were able to come with us!
We made Halloween work and it actually became everyone's favorite Halloween so far! We had Mal from the Decedents movie, a devil with her posse of angel and half angel and devil who then changed into an M&M, and DJ Marshmallow.
Rebecca and JZ went on the Adventure Guides camp out. She was soooo excited to go and it meant so much to her that her Daddy took her. She did everything: canoe, fishing, BB gun, horse riding, archery, camp fire skits, smores - just too fun!
JZ and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary the same day as Election Day... what a day!
We attended the Seal Legacy Foundation gala again this year and heard an inspiring speech from Dan Crenshaw - thinking Crenshaw / Owens 2024!!

Carving pumpkins with Abuelo!

Slumber Party fun! Now that they are in separated cohorts social time is more important than ever. They carved pumpkins, made homemade pizza, decorated halloween cookies, performed skits with costumes and movie time.

Gearing up for hunting in a couple of weeks...

We got Boo'ed and we still don't know who did it!

O'Neill spent Halloween at a slumber party with his buddies where there were 3 other DJ Marshmallows. The next day he then participated in a golf tournament and tennis tournament - he skipped his football game because he was exhausted!!

Girls and their candy!

M&M Progressive Dinner  - we hosted the dessert and ended up having a pumpkin carving contest and pumpkin painting complete with everyone's favorite - Smores!

Mal and the Devil. The Devil made her shoes, embellished her trident, and decorated her t-shirt - she did a super job!

Papa and Cecie are the cutest! They sat outside for the trick or treaters in costume! It was a perfect Saturday to be outside from 3-5. It was such a good idea from Lakewood neighbors!! XOXO

The 1st grade squad!

THE CAMPOUT!!! Weeks later she is still talking about all the things she did! IT made quite the impact!

While the boys were away hunting the girls went to Boot Ranch! Boot Ranch is the best kept secret in Texas! I could not get over how amazing it was! The girls had fun just running around and I enjoyed catching up with my old SMU roommate!

Look at these cuties! Slater is in the 5th grade, Paige is in Kinder, R in 1st and V in 6th

The boys hunting in Freer Texas. They shot ALOT! O'Neill is becoming a sharpshooter!

More Halloween pictures - I'm telling ya - this was the best halloween ever despite Covid

4th grade boy Halloween playdate - they were not interested in carving pumpkins or decorating cookies - they were happy just playing with a ball for 3 hours

The moms decorating cookies :)

13th Anniv celebration ... on Election night... on a school night... nobody was out!
