Benihana

OK - so we took the whole family to Benihana and it was hilarious! As predicted, Victoria had a great time; she was so entertained by the chef and all his tricks! She ate tons of shrimp, a whole bowl of soup, fried rice and a bowl of strawberry ice cream and chocolate ice cream. Perhaps we will be taking a trip to Japan - ha! However, Jack was just a calamity. After he ate a little dinner he was blowing bubbles and spewing food everywhere (including my hair and eye glasses), he was dropping everything from spoons, finger food, glass baby food jars that shattered, chew toys, rattles, bottle, bottle cap...his feet were in the dishes, his hands were grabbing food, he spilled two drinks, all while he was flirting with the tablemates. On the way home, Victoria said she had fun at dinner.

Victoria was mesmerized...looking intently at her food cooking.

Still mesmermized and eating with her mouth open

Jack looks so innocent...and so blonde!

First Tooth!

It's arrived! Jack's first tooth; 7 months and 2 weeks. He is such a trooper, it didn't bother him that much but he was chewing on everything!

He is such a happy baby - and he is hilarious! What a sweet boy! He has a little spit up problem, but that doesn't slow him down.

Do they look alike? ;)

Another picture of him chewing on whatever he can find

SMU Homecoming

SMU Homecoming and 10 year reunion - lots has happened in 10 years. Victoria wore her SMU cheerleader uniform and had a blast at the boulevard and parade. Victoria and Jack were a little under the weather but she rallied and showed her SMU spirit. Her favorite is Peruna - SMU's pony mascot.

70 degree Fall

We are hanging out in the backyard enjoying the beautiful Fall weather! Victoria is truly a sweetie with the purest heart and her personality is starting to take shape - she's a little ham with these sunglasses.

Jack is teething and just about to get his first tooth...just a few more days...or a week or two. So he's chewing on everything!

Fall and Halloween

Brother and Sister posed for a sweet Fall picture

He looks like such an old man with the comb over!

We hosted a little "cocktail and carving" party and everyone carved their pumpkin for Halloween. There were even a few guests who had never carved a pumpkin before! And Papa and Cecie stopped by too!

Dad did a great job - must be his skills as a surgeon!

Victoria trick or treating - she really got the hang of it!

Victoria was the cutest ladybug and Jack was a hungry "paterpiler" as Victoria says

Cecie (aka Fairy GRANDmother) and V dancing at the Halloween party - V was a little timid with the loud music and lots of kiddos in costume but Cecie came to the rescue!

The gangs all here!

Butterfly Chrysalis

Victoria and I watched a monarch butterfly chrysalis emerge and it was quite a spectacle... She got to touch it see it's wings harden and fly away.

JHZ at 6 MONTHS!

Jack is already 6 months! He is so long - ranking in the 90th percentile - and only 60th percentile in weight. He is doing great eating solids wanting more and more to eat everyday. He's rolled over a few times each way but doesn't really care for it, but he LOVES to sit up and see what Victoria is doing. Each morning we wake V up together and he just bursts out laughing when he sees her. He is sitting independently but after a minute or two needs help to stay up- otherwise it's tiiimberrrrr... He is putting great weight on his legs and has even balanced for a few seconds by himself. He sleeps 12 hours at night - not much of a napper in the day but sleeps enough to keep him happy- and he is such a happy baby.

One of his favorite teething toys is a spoon. (Maybe he thinks there is food on there)

He has more lucious locks than V did at this time-

To me, brother and sister look so much like the same baby - BUT Jack has much larger cheeks and way more hair!

Victoria trying on her "ladybug fairy" Halloween costume #1. She is ready to get candy.

He's such a social baby (as most 6 month babies are)! He's just happy to see you...and eat!

Loves to wear Mama's shoes - especially 3 inch high heels.

She's entered the sister protection program.
