Fire Station

Victoria visited Fire Station No 55 (no doubt one of the fire stations that help save 6926 Lakewood). She was so excited but then got a little frightened by the big trucks. She learned the difference between a fire engine and fire truck, got to see all the fire rescue gadgets, and water sprayed from the fire hose... She had a blast!

A little nervous next to the gear...
A little more nervous next to the really big fireman...

iPhone Pictures

I uploaded some random photos off my iPhone from the past year and Victoria has changed so much - She is such a little lady and less and less of a baby...

Victoria in South Carolina at around a year old - check out those cheeks!

Around Easter time 2010 - she's still learning to walk!

Feb 2011, having ice cream. She originally wanted Bubblegum flavor with sprinkles but then she ate all of Mama's coffee ice cream. What a sophisticated palete.

March 2011, at the "Art Museum" making crafts and having way too much fun with a glue stick! The Art Museum is NOT the same as the Dinosuar Museum.

March 2011, at a birthday party - her hair is getting really big!

2 yr check up

Victoria had her 2 yr check up and she is off the charts! She weighs 33 pounds that puts her in the 94th percentile and is 34 inches putting her over the 100 percentile in height! The doctor asked if Victoria was verbal and had a few words and I laughed because Victoria is such a chatter box! She is talking in sentences and sings the chorus of her favorite songs: Baa Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle, Three Blind Mice, ABCs, and Row Your Boat.

Donuts and PJs Birthday Party

Victoria celebrated her 2nd birthday party with a donut and pj party. After a week of everyone being house bound due to the weather - everyone was ready to get out and play! And Victoria loved doing the "toddler bounce" with Miss Kim; they even did ring around the rosie - Victoria's favorite! After three days of no naps - Victoria took a long one that day :)

Lots of donuts - Victoria had 4 donut holes before anyone showed up!

Yum, more donuts!

Cars

Victoria is still in her car phase. While the weather was bad, we had nowhere to go but Victoria's playroom where we played with cars the majority of the time! Even if we weren't playing with cars we were drawing cars, or reading about cars, or playing with something else while still holding at least two cars.

Playing in the house having a tea party (while holding on to cars). And yes, I managed to somehow fit inside the house.

Playing with cars and sending them down the ramp.

More cars!

And a book about cars.

Cecie and Papa ventured out in the snow to come over and give her a few birthday presents. They were sad they had to miss her birthday party because they were headed to Little Dix Bay.
Maybe one day she'll be interested in dolls...

February Snow Storm

First it iced, then it snowed 4 to 6 inches!!! All week the city was shut down and Victoria and I ventured out in the snow for minutes at a time. I don't think she is much of a snow baby - more the type to sit by the fire and have some chocolate milk.

Charlotte and Shannon

Charlotte and Shannon came in town so Charlotte could compete in a gymnastic tournament in Ft. Worth. Charlotte did great in all her routines: floor, bar, vault, and beam! The Davises drove up from Austin and we had a blast getting the girls together. Here are just a few pictures I have from the weekend. Victoria played her favorite game - ring around the rosie - with Char and Kate and loved it!
