Family Vacation in the Hamptons

The family vacation to Long Island's Quogue was such a treat! Papa and Cecie hosted the Davises, Henderson's, Zavala's, Whitfield and Walter's! With 8 kids under the age of 6 and 12 adults it was a little crazy... talk about quality family time! The days of our summer vacation consisted of tennis, swimming, beach, sightseeing and trying to get the kite flying...here are some photos:

Summer Lovin'

Victoria headed down to Dallas for three weeks while Dad studied to become a board certified doctor. As a veteran flier she was great and was so excited to see family and friends. She had some summer lovin' in the Texas heat.

Victoria had lunch with Cline and Aunt Lauren at LCC. In fact Victoria spent most of her days at the club...hmmm, I wonder where she got that from?

Cousin Katherine is such a great role model for Victoria; Katherine has a great vocabulary and every time she saw Victoria she'd say "There's a BAaaaaBY!"

Victoria was so lucky to see her Grandpa Zavala many times while she was in town! At first the meeting was a little bittersweet, but near the end of her stay she was butter in his arms!

Big Keeks was sweet with Victoria, but is more comfortable holding a beer :)

Victoria loved her first encounter with the pool. It was so hot in Dallas, that the cool water felt great!

First Father's Day

Victoria is Daddy's little girl as he celebrated his first Father's day. We went to church and then had an afternoon picnic on the Potomac in Old Town.

We are just about all packed up. Our place is filled with boxes and we are getting crowded out, but Victoria loves all the commotion and is such a super trooper! She is really looking forward to having her very own room and a place to put all her growing toys (instead of in the living room)!

Mama's Lil Helper

Dad's busy finishing up his last few days as a resident, and is away in Baltimore this whole week at a Board review course for the exam coming up in a month! Last week was actually John's formal graduation and we had a great time celebrating.
So... Victoria has been my little helper; packing up the apartment, cooking brain power meals, running all sorts of errands, and helping me get in shape with Baby Boot Camp...





She's not quite big enough for the jumperoo, so we are using Dad's surgery book to give her some leverage...

She loves her pink bear lovey. I wish you could see her smile behind the blanket, but her eyes say it all...

Happy 4 Month Birthday Queen Victoria! She impressed the doctor at her well check up by meeting all her milestones and babbling through the whole visit - we've got a talker!
