Thanksgiving in Washington DC

Our family trip to Washington DC was so much fun. We saw the monuments, all the highlights, visited friends and family and ... can't wait to go back. After learning about the American Revolution, doing a report on George Washington, and listening to Hamilton 1000 times these kids were prepared for the city. Even with Mama on crutches it was totally worth it.

Family picture in front of the Capital after our tour.

The Ritz Carlton Christmas fairy came the day after Thanksgiving and decorated the hotel into a Christmas wonderland. It was great to see since the Zavala kids didn't get their tree up until three days before Christmas due to the move.

We visited 3403 Commonwealth where Victoria was brought home from the hospital. She loved seeing this place and she loves being "from Virginia".

We talked a lot about the many wars that were fought including those that fought like their great grandfather, John Davis.

Mt. Vernon was a hit - they loved seeing all the animals that were on the property.

Fun times at Cousin Sam's - O'Neill loved seeing his guns and all his kills.

Writing with the quills just like the founding fathers.

Things to do

There has been so much rain this Fall!! Most of the games on the weekends were cancelled and same with the practices. We've been spending lots of time indoors and trying to fill our time with things to do:

Baron - he has the life of leisure!

Cecie invited the girls to an American Girl Doll luncheon. It was fun to see the girls take their baby dolls out to lunch: Rebecca, Mackenzie, and Caroline.

Fun photo booth pictures!

Fashion show divas

O'Neill ended up in the ER for what Dr JZ thought might be appendicitis, but in reality it was just severe strep throat.

We hosted the Homecoming tailgate against Univ of Houston. The sun finally came out and it was a perfect day for a tailgate and great game.
