Vail Ski

Family ski trip to Vail over President's Day weekend resulted in family fun of early mornings, busy days and early nights. These kids are pros at traveling and get better every time; carrying their own stuff and helping out and keeping the "are we there yet" questions to a minimum.

Just a few of our bags for the long weekend! When we arrived at the hotel they were surprised to see us since the Department of Transportation had shut down Vail Pass due to heavy snow and bad driving conditions. Thanks, Honey, for getting us to our destination safely! (I couldn't drive since I lost my license in Las Vegas a few weeks ago)

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with root beer or regular beer, and s'mores making kits. It literally took us half of the day to get skis and boots!

So excited to see the freshly fallen snow!

Rebecca has gotten in a habit of writing "R" everywhere she goes: on paper, one the walls, bath tubs,  carpets, clothes, furniture... it's kind of becoming a thing - R marks the spot.

Everyone is ready to go skiing on the first day!

The Pink Bandit

First day with the instructor

Leading the way in ski school.

Away he goes - fast and furious. No fear

One cool cat! She road the mountain coaster all by herself!

Sisters... doing it for themselves!

Going up to the tubing hill

Family ski day!

tubing!

This girl skied down the mountain - well- she road down the mountain inside mama's snowplow. oh my knees

We were all channeling our inner Olympian

They said that ice skating was there favorite activity!

Ice royalty on their throne

Candy around the fire while looking at the stars.

They left the season - Rebecca at a level 1, Victoria a level 4 almost a 5, O'Neill a level 5 and ready for poles.  Until next time mountains...

FOUR!

I can't believe our baby is 4; she's our little sister golden hair.

Pictures from Birth, One, and Two. (I can't find her Three yr old pic!) Amazing how fast she is growing up. She acts so much older, she's a tough trooper, and is fine doing things all by herself. She keeps up with her brother and sister and is a leader in school. She is so confident and everyday with her is a complete joy. She is our firecracker. I am so lucky.

She is my fashionista. She loves to dress up, change clothes and pick out her own outfits.

Love the picture of the three musketeers - or my little animals since sometimes I feel like I live in a zoo!

She wanted a rainbow Barbie birthday at the gymnastics gym. She had a blast and enjoyed being the center of attention

The girls had the little dolls, the boys had the rainbow cupcakes and R had the Barbie cake. They were made by John's co-worker's wife and they were a hit.

Her very first friend, Natalie

Here are two peeps from her squad - Julia and Kennedy. Natalie and Hannah had already left.

She had the best birthday so far! She had so many presents but the most favorite gift was the butterfly music jewelry box from the butterfly museum that Papa and Cecie actually went and got from Fair Park!

She shared birthday donuts with her friends at school on her real birthday

She spent her birthday eve night at Cecie and Papas due to a 7am teacher conference for mom and dad the next day. Of course she changed into her rainbow dress-up dress from her best friend Julia that morning.

I can't wait to see how she will grow into a 5 year old. XOXO
