Spring Break

For Spring Break we explored our favorite spots and a few new ones:

Ripley's Believe It Or Not, the dinos were the best hit

Chuck E Cheese - yes, we went and the kids had a blast! O loved the basketball game and they both liked the little merry go round. Not sure if I'll make a repeat appearance anytime soon

Toddler Tuesdays at the Arboretum - they love the petting zoo, the face painting, picnic and Kindermusic. O is my dancer and has no problem getting down front and participating.

The ducks and turtles are always a hit at the mall on a rainy day. And they like looking at all the sculpture that is there too.

Coming home from dinner at a friends house who lives in North Dallas - out like a light.

Took the Uptown Trolley around the city and ended up at the Kylde Warren Park. O loves water and it wasn't long before he was drenched.

Victoria attended a Zoo Camp two days over Spring Break and had a blast. The zoo is there number one destination - so we fed the birds, rode the pony, fed the goats, rode the camel and their favorite thing is riding the merry go round!

Having two children born in the Spring, they have birthday parties galore this time of year. This one had the kids dress as their favorite superhero; V was "Superstar Victoria".

At the Perot Museum for a birthday making slime. She loved the activities like painting and making new colors out of playdough.

Take my picture

After being so camera shy, Victoria recently came around and now wants us to take her picture all the time: "Take my picture here next to the flowers, take my pictures on the clubhouse... we can send it to Kate, the New York Cousins, Nana and Cecie - I'll wrap them up with pink and purple paper and I'll put them in the mail..."  After the photoshoot, she tells me she wants to have a Snow White 5th birthday party and all the details that go along with a Snow White party. She said we can ask her on the Disney Cruise to come to her birthday. She talked about planning this party for about 45 minutes non stop. It has been 3 weeks since her 4th birthday party.

Mom and Dads trip to Arizona (the desert with huge cacti)

Playtime

Victoria is baking a "birthday cake" here with sprinkles and candles.

O playing with water - his favorite

Victoria got carried away with her markers and painted O's face. Oh dear. We had a "teachable moment" after that

Playing ball; O can't wait to play soccer

Blowing bubbles

Dance party, V put her tap shoes on O

He loved them

Gymnastics in Houston

Papa, Cecie, Mama, Victoria and O traveled to Houston to see Aunt Shannon and cousion Charlotte; Charlotte was competing in a gymnmastics meet. Her and her team, NYC Elite, did great taking home 2nd place overall in the team competition, and Charlotte did great individually too! Victoria had a blast staying in her first hotel (up to this point she had always stayed in houses or condos). She loved seeing Charlotte do her gymnastics and tried to do some herself. O'Neill, Victoria, Papa and me went to the Houston Rodeo parade where we saw lots of 'neighs' (as O'Neill calls them) and Papa saw his old high school band perform in the parade, too. Fun times!

On the Road!

Cousins!

Exhausted

Watching Char from the stands!
