Snow Baby!

Victoria and Mama tagged along to Sun Valley, ID with Dada while he attended an orthopedic meeting. Victoria was a travel angel: she handled the three flights over two times zones with a total of 12 hours of traveling much better than her parents. She was the life of the plane; smiling, waving and clapping. Once we arrived she didn't quite know what to do with the snow but she was a trooper!

Snow Angel!
Family photo on the kid's mountain (Dollar Mountain). She played in the nursery while Mama and Dada went out for half days skiing.

Not quite sure what this stuff is!

Warm in the lodge. We didn't dare take the snow suit off because then we'd have to put it back on! She didn't like putting on her snow gear, hats and especially mittens!

First bus ride! Before Adam arrived with his car we took the little shuttle to and fro... Lots of equipment for skiing and baby. We needed another pair of arms.
They don't call it Sun Valley for nothin'

Free at last! She loved the "shag" carpet in the condo so she could crawl all over the place. I think it's the horizontal stripes that really accent her rolls :)

Let's Go!

Sun Valley ice sculpture.

The weather shield kept her warm!

YAY!!! Home Sweet Home!

Victoria loves sorting the blocks - or putting the shapes in the wooden block. She's wearing her purple spandix shorts sewn up the middle to help strengthen her core and keep her legs together.

Victoria has some curls! Her hair is getting long and wild!

The curls come out after she's been sweating (like sleeping on Mama's lap in a cramped airplane with recycled air) Ah! You gotta love flying. It just keeps getting better and better.

Making Great Strides!!!

VICTORY! In the past few weeks "Victorious Victoria" has made great strides in her movement. I can now officially say she is crawling - and not the army crawl or scooting crawl - but the cute crawl on her knees with her little behind swaying from side to side. She is on the move for things like shoes, Mama's jewelry, telephones, cameras and laptops; she loves accessories and technical equipment. We have been busy going to story and music time at the library, Gymboree, physical therapy (or "exercise class" as I like to call it) and playdates with her friends. She is so social - everywhere we go parents remember her name and always say "Hi Victoria" and she always smiles and waves. The best compliment she's received is when a friend said Victoria is always happy and smiling every time she sees her. She loves petting dogs, tearing paper, playing with catelogs, playing peekaboo, standing, cruising, crawling, knocking down block towers, throwing balls, clapping and waving. Apparently this 11 month old is completing all her milestones in the last month before she turns one.
But just don't get this baby upset by taking toys (or lotion bottles) away from her or you will hear her powerful lungs. This baby has a temper! I love it! Iwonder where she got that from?

Hello Gorgeous!
Cruising (or what JZ calls furniture surfing)

Pulling to stand.
"Bahhh"
Crusing...
Tunnel vision - she hasn't crawled through the rainbow tunnel, but she thinks it is so funny. So any day now.

Waving and clapping! A beauty queen in the making? :) "Toddlers and Tiaras" here we come (Totally kidding)

Crawling!!! Here she goes...

TAH-DAH! YAY!!!
Drinking out of a cup - sort of. Can you see all the water in her bib?

Going after Mama's phone...

GOT IT!

Two points, slam dunk! We rent toys - so every month we receive new toys and ship back the old ones. It's the best service because once she masters the toy or gets bored you can get rid of it! She's mastered putting the ball into the basket. Onto the next challenge... bring it on!

Victoria the Victorious

Victoria is cruising! She is moving all over the place holding on to tables, chairs, beds, and couches! She prefers to go to the left. She still has trouble pulling to stand and is not crawling. BUT she is making great progress and it looks like that track scholarship might not be off the table just yet :)

TAH-DAH!!!!

Miss Victoria calling Cecie! She loves the phone her Uncle Kiko gave her for Christmas.

Victoria is examining the bubbles in her hand when she took her first bubble bath. And surprisingly she didn't try to eat them.
