Baptism
Praise Jesus! Victoria was baptised Sunday May 3 at Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart, Georgetown University by Fr. McCreegan, SJ. Both grandparents and brothers attended the service. John's brother, Kiko, is the one required Catholic sponsor as stated by the Code of Cannon Law No. 872 and No. 874.1. And Victoria is extra lucky because she also has many non Catholic friends and family sponsors that will make sure she leads a Christian life. The service started about 25 minutes late and caused Victoria to protest the whole service because it ran into her meal time... definitely my daughter.

First Trip to Dallas!!
It's a Dallas Victory! Victoria made her first trip down to Dallas at just 2 1/2 months old. She loved seeing her grandparents, all her "aunts", possible future prom dates and basking in the warm Texas sun. It was her first time to meet the Zavala grandparents and Uncle Kiko. Victoria was showered with well wishes, kisses and gifts from the two Sip and See parties where she was honored. She just can't wait to go back! Here are a few pictures from her travels...
What a view from Reunion Tower! Victoria is a quick learner when it comes to fine wine, cuisine and atmosphere.
Victoria was a super trooper on her first airplane ride. Even bussinessmen where complimenting her on how well she traveled! I guess she is already taking after her world traveler parents!

Victoria gets her wings!

Meeting Grandma and Grandpa Zavala for the first time at DFW airport!

At home in Lakewood with Cecie!
Victoria in her second of three outfits of the day...

Victoria got to know her grandparent a little better while her mama was out with the girls!
Getting to know Uncle Kiko!
Grandma Zavala giving Victoria her first Dallas bath.
Victoria was honored at her first Sip and See. She liked meeting all the ladies and can't wait to wear all the pretty outfits she received.

Grandma Zavala knitted this beautiful pink blanket when she was pregnant with John Zavala...she thought he was going to be a she.

All the Davis children with their babies and spouses... minus Todd and William who were back in NYC at the Yankees game.
Here are just a few of Victoria's Aunts at her second Sip and See party. She is so lucky to have some many fun ladies in her life!

After growing up with 2 sisters and having a daughter of his own, "Kuncle" Tyler is great with baby Victoria!
The newest addition to the Zavala family tree!

Easter Weekend
Victoria loves to laugh - specially when she sits in her vibrating chair - or what I like to call her Throne.

Victoria met Aunt Emily and Uncle Tommy while they were in town from New York City. Victoria loved being held by Emily and hearing all about the details to her upcoming wedding. Maybe Victoria will make it down to Corpus Christi to celebrate - or maybe Cecie will watch Victoria and let mama and dad really celebrate.

Two Months and 10 pounds
Victoria is really growing - she was 10 pounds and 2 ounces and 22 1/2 inches long at her 2 month check up. She just might outgrow her bassinet before we get to South Carolina!
Aunt Alison drove from Charlottesville just to meet Victoria, and Victoria LOVED Alison (look at that intense stare). Alison is a pro; James turned one last week.
